Emerald International School Dhaka (EISD), a leading English medium Islamic school in Dhaka, achieved remarkable success at the Asian Spelling Bee Competition 2026, held on May 23, 2026. The school secured championship titles, runner-up positions, and international qualification opportunities—reinforcing its reputation as a top English medium school in Dhaka with a strong focus on language excellence.
M M Ronok, Founder of Emerald International School Dhaka, highlighted the school’s long-standing emphasis on language learning, stating:
“We start and maintain a focus on language when the students enter. It’s the ultimate tool to expand their curiosity and learning ability while expressing themselves. We are representing our national potential on an international stage.”
The Asian Spelling Bee 2026 was organized by Edupro Concepts Bangladesh Limited in collaboration with Spelling Bee of China (SPBCN). The competition serves as a gateway for talented students to advance to intercontinental and international spelling challenges in countries such as the United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
A total of 20 students from Grades 3 to 8 represented Emerald International School Dhaka at this prestigious competition. The students demonstrated exceptional performance across all categories.
- Shahnan Sabit Nirjhor (Grade 5) emerged as the Champion in the Grade 3–5 category.
- Yusuf Md. Shafiq (Grade 3) secured the Runner-up position in the same group.
- In the senior category, Amr Eesaa Bin Mohammad (Grade 7) and Anabia Sahrish Rafah (Grade 6) advanced to the final rounds and finished as Runner-up Finalists after intense tie-breaker sessions.
According to Ronok, this success reflects the school’s immersive approach to language education:
“It starts with play-to-learn and gradually keeping that curiosity alive. We adapt with each grade to ensure learning through interaction, activities, and engagement.”
As a result of this outstanding performance, 11 students from Emerald International School Dhaka have qualified to represent both Bangladesh and EISD at the Asian Spelling Bee Championship in Shanghai, China, in July 2026.
Educationists and school authorities praised the achievement as a testament to the school’s academic rigor, structured language development programs, and competitive learning environment. This milestone also highlights the collective dedication of teachers, mentors, parents, and students, further strengthening EISD’s position as a trusted English medium Islamic school in Dhaka.
